Dear Residents
As you may have heard we are supporting the launch of the East Staffordshire Community Lottery – a fundraising platform specifically designed to support local community groups and organisations like yours. There are no upfront costs for organisations and by registering to fundraise with the local lottery you can secure vital funds for your organisation’s activities. These additional funds could help support existing activity provision, events, new provisions or initiatives, the purchase of new equipment, running costs and much more.
Community Lotteries have a proven track record of success in supporting the fundraising activities of a range of community groups of all shapes and forms. Attached is a brief summary of how it all works but if you have any queries or need any further information then please do not hesitate to contact sara.botham@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk. We know that the word lottery may put some people off but rest assured we operate under the same licence as a raffle would – any good causes signed up to the lottery are covered under the licence we already have in place so there are absolutely no costs for organisations to join.
If you’d like to take advantage of this fundraising opportunity then simply sign up for the East Staffordshire Community Lottery by visiting our website https://www.eaststaffordshirecommunitylottery.co.uk/good-causes and completing the quick and easy registration process. There is no on-going administration for your organisation, everything is dealt with by the lottery management platform so there is no additional workload for you once you’re all set up other than promoting your lottery page to your supporters.
Key Dates:
27th June – Ticket sales go live. From this point you can encourage your supporters to join in to support your cause
22nd July – first lottery draw.
