Dear Residents
Staffordshire County Council have provided the following information:
The highways improvements on the A522 Uttoxeter Road, Beamhurst/JCB roundabout due to start on Monday 12 June.
Staffordshire County Council’s highways teams will be carrying out drainage, kerbing, footway patching and road resurfacing works.
The work is scheduled to take around ten weeks to complete and will include temporary traffic lights and a combination of temporary lane and road closures to ensure the work can be carried out safely.
To make sure the work can be carried out safely, temporary traffic lights, lane closures and full road closures are required at various stages of the project. We have been working with local businesses in the area to make sure they are aware of the works and signs have been put up advising motorists of the works.
The work will include:
- 12th June –16th July; three-way lights on A522/JCB access roundabout.
- 17th July – 23rd July; four-way lights @ the junction of the A522/Pigeonhay Lane/St Michaels Road.
- 24th July – 28th July; Full road closures (8am to 5pm) to plane the existing road surface.
- 31st July – 04th August; three-way lights on the A522/JCB access roundabout.
- 7th August – 11th August; Full Road closure (8am to 5pm) to lay carriageway surface course, road markings, clean gullies/kerbs/drains.
