Cllr Colin Whittaker – East Staffordshire Borough Council – http://www.eaststaffsbc.gov.uk/council-democracy/councillors/councillor-colin-whittaker, who is the Councillor for Abbey Ward, which includes Bramshall within the Ward, was thrilled to be able to support the WW1 Bench for the Village.
Cllr Whittaker said, ” I am thrilled to be able to make a financial contribution, from my Community Fund, towards this fabulous memorial project, organised by Uttoxeter Rural Parish Council, to commemorate the 100yrs since World War 1. Although it is a sad occasion, the bench will allow residences of Bramshall to remember those who never returned”
The bench, purchased by Uttoxeter Rural Parish Council, from David Ogilvie Engineering – https://www.davidogilvie.com/
is part of a wider project throughout the Chair of the Parish Council, Mrs Jean Pattinson – Evans and the Parish Councillors are pleased to have the support of our local Borough Councillor for this project.
The Bramshall bench is located on the Village Green, next to the Telephone Box, behind the Church.
