The Staffordshire Warmer Homes initiative – now open

Dear Residents

We have been asked to pass on the following information from Staffordshire County Council.

The Staffordshire Warmer Homes initiative is due to launch in East Staffordshire next week. The initiative aims to install fully funded first time central heating systems into eligible homes across Staffordshire.

I hope you can help promote the scheme in your local area with residents.

The Staffordshire Warmer Homes initiative is funded by the £150m Warm Homes Fund, which has been established by National Grid to support local authorities to address some of the issues affecting fuel poor households.

We, Staffordshire County Council, are working in partnership with E.ON and East Staffordshire Borough Council to run this initiative in your area. We are also encouraging the local police, fire and health services to make referrals into the scheme.

We have identified a number of households across East Staffordshire that could be eligible to get fully funded central heating installed in their home and we are sending letters out to all of these homes in the coming weeks.

Residents can apply for this scheme if they do not already have gas central heating, claim benefits or tax credits, have low or no income, are disabled, elderly or have very young children.

Residents can apply online at www.staffordshirewarmerhomes.co.uk or freephone the Staffordshire Warmer Homes team at E.ON on 0333 202 4481.
