Yellow Fog – Weather warning for 19.11.2019

Dear Residents

Staffordshire County Council have advised of the following:

The Met Office have issued a rather unusual yellow warning for fog across the whole of the county for the beginning of Tuesday.

The warning is in place from 4am until about 11am.

Specifically, there will be some dense and freezing fog patches during the morning, which is highly likely to lead to some travel disruption.

Warnings for fog are issued when visibility is due to drop below 200 metres – tomorrow we can expect visibility to be reduced to about 100 metres or less in places.

As travelling in fog can be dangerous, the Met Office website has some handy guidance on how to drive safely.
