Night Closure – Bennetts Lane, Bramshall – 29th August – 2nd September – Noise Level Letter from Network Rail

Dear Residents

We have been provided with the following letter regarding Noise Levels for the works being carried out on the Railway, over night 29th August to 2nd September 2022

Dear Neighbour,

IMPROVEMENT WORK – LOXLEY LANE/BENNETTS LANE, BRAMSHALL

I’m writing to let you know that we need to carry out essential work near to your property.

The team will be carrying out drainage installation works along a section of track, working between and around Loxley Lane/Bennetts Lane, Bramshall Level Crossing and Bramshall Station Level Crossing. For this we need to use road-rail machinery; we should not be close to your properties for a long period of time, but the machinery may cause some noise whilst in operation and whilst it travels to and from our worksite.

We will be working from:

22:00 Monday 29 August to 08:00 Friday 2 September

Please note, as a moving worksite, the team won’t be outside your property for the duration of the above dates.

I understand that working near your property overnight is far from ideal and I am sorry in advance for any disruption this may cause. However, the work is essential, and the team need to undertake the work at night as it is the safest time for the team to access the railway, due to the low numbers of trains that run at this time.

The nature of our work often means some disturbance is unavoidable, with the teams using heavy machinery. The team are aware that they are working close to your home, and they will try to minimise unnecessary disruption as much as possible.

I hope this information is helpful and again I am sorry for any disturbance this essential work may cause.
